Let Jack Miller add his more than 30 years of development experience to your major gift fund-raising efforts. His planned giving program at United Way of Allegheny County received United Way of America’s Lasting Legacy Award, symbolic of the best planned giving program in the country. His planned giving program at the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation not only raised millions of dollars, but helped to preserve numerous historic western Pennsylvania buildings and farms.
Jack’s informative presentations are filled with useful ideas and helpful information. His ability to translate a technical topic into easy to understand development strategies has made him a popular speaker with development officers, allied professionals and donors alike. As a result, Jack has been the keynote speaker at many annual Association of Fundraising Professionals events, including the 2003 Allegheny Mountain Chapter Conference and the 1995 and 2003 Erie Chapter Conferences. In 1997 and 1998, he was the keynote speaker at United Way of America’s National Planned Giving Roundtable in New Orleans and Atlanta, respectively.
At the 2002 National Trust for Historic Preservation Conference, he presented new strategies for using planned gifts to save historic properties. In 1998, he spoke on the importance of donor advocacy at the Family Wealth Counselor annual meeting in Chicago. He has presented at two International Association of Financial Planners’ symposiums on Estate Planning Opportunities in Light of the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997 and The Leveraged Value of Charitable Lead Trusts and is a regular presenter at regional planned giving meetings and conferences.
As a workshop presenter, Jack has trained numerous development professionals and volunteers. His extensive development experience enables him to quickly determine the risks and opportunities uncovered in development audits.
To better serve his clients, Jack has assembled a team of strategic associates offering a wide range of services that include processing gifts of real estate, major and planned-gift fundraising, web site design and public relations. As a matter of policy, he will only work with up to two clients at any one time to assure the level of attention needed to assure the success of the project.
